This page explains, in plain language, what information this website and our support applications collect and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only the information you submit to us and a small amount of functional browser data needed to operate the site. We use it only to help you, and we don't use advertising or cross-site tracking of any kind.
Your use of our services is also governed by our Terms of Use. If your organization has a separate service agreement with us, that agreement also governs how we handle data for the services it covers.
This information is stored on our own server and is never sold, rented or shared with advertisers. We share it only with the service providers that keep this website running (our hosting provider), and only as needed to operate it.
We use a small number of functional cookies and browser local-storage entries: your light/dark theme choice, your cookie-banner choice, and — if you play with Teknical OS — its settings (wallpaper, sounds and so on). These stay in your browser and identify your preferences, not you.
There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics on this site.
Two optional features check public breach records:
We provide support through Microsoft Teams, our website, messaging tools, email and phone. When you contact us for support through any of these channels — including our Microsoft Teams support app — information related to your request is transmitted to and stored in our support and ticketing systems so we can help you and keep a record of the work.
We use this information only to receive, route, respond to and resolve your support requests, to maintain a history of the support we've provided, to communicate with you about the request, and to operate and improve our support service. Support conversations may be handled by Teknical staff, our contractors, and the service providers that run our support systems, only as needed to provide support.
When you use our Microsoft Teams support app, Microsoft also processes your messages and account information as the operator of the Teams platform, under Microsoft's own terms and privacy statement. We don't control Microsoft's platform, and your organization's Microsoft 365 administrator controls what the app can access within your tenant.
If we help you remotely, we use ScreenConnect (our remote-support tool). A remote session only starts when you take an action to begin or join one:
During a remote session, and only while it is running, the technician can view your screen and — with your permission — control it to fix the issue. You can end the session at any time, and access ends when the session closes. Basic session details (such as the session record, connection times, and any technician notes) may be retained in our support system as part of your support history.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We share it only with the service providers that operate our website and support services, and only as needed to run them. These currently include, by category:
These providers are permitted to use the information only to provide their service to us. As our tools change over time, the specific providers may change; this list describes the categories we use.
We keep support requests, tickets and related records for as long as needed to provide support, maintain your support history, meet our legal, tax and business obligations, and as set out in any service agreement with your organization. Website enquiries (contact, booking, newsletter) are kept for as long as needed to respond and operate the service. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or retain only what's required. You can ask us to review, correct or delete information you've sent us at any time (see Your choices below).
This website is served over encrypted HTTPS. Our admin area is protected by Microsoft sign-in and restricted to @teknical.tech accounts. Access to support and ticketing systems is limited to staff and providers who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us.
Teknical OS includes a demo that displays information your browser makes available to any website (screen size, language, time zone and similar). That information is read and shown in your browser only — we do not store it, transmit it, or use it for anything beyond showing it to you.
Only Teknical staff. Our admin area is protected by Microsoft sign-in and restricted to @teknical.tech accounts.
If we change how this site handles your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
